New vinyl release by B D F. An 8 tracks EP ( mini – LP ) instrumental showcase style ( 4 Instrumentals + 4 Dub versions) consisting of keyboard instrumentals in the classic 70s tradition of Jackie Mittoo / Augustus Pablo / Ansel Collins / Pablo Black / Winston Wright / the Butler Brothers and many more Reggae instrumentalists featured on hundred of B sides.

Old-school , analogue productions using real instruments: Hammond organ, Rhodes, piano, guitars, bass, drums, percussion, etc....featuring the keyboard and melodica skills (or maybe the lack of!) and also the compositions and arrangements of BDF main honcho, Inyaki Yarritu, who also plays bass, drums, percussion.


BDF - Basque Dub Foundation started in the early 90s as studio project by Iñaki Yarritu ( aka “Inyaki” ), a London based reggae musician originally from the Basque Country (northern Spain ). Starting as an instrumental – Dub project but developing into a full live band (backing many JA and UK artists touring live in Europe such as Alton Ellis, The Heptones, Earl Sixteen, Anthony Johnson, U Brown, Kenny Knots, Aisha, Dub Judah, Tena Stelin, ) and producing 2 albums and more than 50 7”s with many vocalists (Alton, Luciano,, David Hinds (Steel Pulse ), Sugar Minnott, Gregory Isaacs, Mikal Rose, Johnny Osborne, Al Campbell, Little Roy, Admiral Tibbet, Wayne Smith, Lone Ranger, Anthony Johnson, U Brown, Carlton Livingstone, ,Chronicle, Eddie Fitzroy, Pinchers and a new generation of French and Spanish artists:
BDF has recut classic riddims for the Heartical label like "Fade Away”, “Real Rock”, “Promised land” “ Slaving ” and “Tonite”. Also some originals like “Ministerio Del Dub”.


This is the 3rd album in BDF’s career, the previous 2 were very long (doble albums in fact).

Original compositions. Hardly ground-breaking or revolutionary stuff or even fashionable at the moment but...very nice ( well...I like it!)
